An original linocut by Masha Tiplady, designed, carved on linoleum, individually inked with highly-pegmened ink in earthy dark green and handprinted on premium heavyweight paper (100% cotton rag Somerset paper, off-white, manufactured in the UK).

 

After the ink dried, the linocut was embellished with watercolour and 23ct gold leaf. An illustration of a fairy tale story by Hans Christian Andersen, published in 1835.
 
Limited varied edition of 50 - there is also a monochrome version (without watercolour and gold leaf), printed in dark green ink - please see photos for comparison.

Each linocut is numbered and signed by the artist.
 
Because the image is handprinted and embellished by hand, there may be slight variations in tone and colour.
 
Will be shipped flat, carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue and cellophane and packaged in a protective envelop to ensure safe delivery.
 
Sold unmounted and unframed.
