Raku-fired tripod dish. Clear crackle glaze. The stoneware dish is torn and stretched by hand, the hollow legs are individually thrown on the wheel.

Each dish is individually hand-made and will differ slightly to the one shown.

Dinner-ware safe but not water-tight. Ideal for dried snacks or for use as a jewellery holder.

Raku Fired Ceramics
'Western' raku firing has evolved from a traditional Japanese method of fast-firing but with the addition of placing the red-hot pots into an enclosed chamber filled with combustibles, which ignite instantly - the resulting 'reduction' effect is responsible for the characteristic black carbon uptake which can be seen on any unglazed parts, as well through any glaze crazing and pin-holing.

If your item is faulty or you are unhappy with your purchase, a full refund will be issued upon return of the item, in perfect condition within the original packaging, within 28 days. Please contact us at online@sdx.scot to arrange your refund.
