From the streetwear scene, we can see that we are shifting away from high fashion to a style of dressing that is all about self-expression and the 'curated self'. Shauna McGregor, teh deisgner behing Silk Self, feels the biggest influence in fashion is of the value-neutral internet and street style - an amalgamation of music, art and politics.
"I have produced digital textile designs that champion this notion. Intended for a non-gendered, upper high street market, my designs encourage personal style and allow expression through clothing. The looks I have created represent real people, thoughts, personalities, environments and cultures that surround me." Silk Self neckscarves are available now at The Scottish Design Exchange.
