Pilrig Press started in late 2010 as an independent micro publisher based in Edinburgh.

They are passionate about good books and good writing.

Pilrig Press' prime objective is to publish great literary fiction and great new crime fiction, and they are also interested in historical fiction and non-fiction with a focus on Scotland.

They want to encourage new Scottish talent but not exclusively, there are some fantastic new writers out there and they want to help them get published.

Pilrig Press published Craig Smith's succesful 2014 novel about the Indyref debate, The Mile, and among others the work of crime writer Marianne Wheelaghan.

A selection of Pilrig Press titles are available in The Scottish Design Exchange, where you can find a wide range of titles from many other independent Scottish publishers.
